About Me

Hello! I'm Lily Klucinec, a first year PhD student in the Societal Computing program at Carnegie Mellon University. I work in the CyLab Usable Privacy and Security (CUPS) Lab, where I am advised by Dr. Lorrie Cranor. Before starting my PhD, I completed my undergraduate degree at Carnegie Mellon with a B.S. in Statistics and an additional major in Science, Technology, and Public Policy.

While in undergrad, I focused on studying privacy-focused interface design and understanding how under-studied groups perceive privacy and security concerns. I completed this work mainly through the Research Experiences for Undergraduates in Software Engineering (REUSE) program at CMU.

Outside of my research, I love reading and attempting to get through all of the games on my Steam backlog. I'm also currently learning how to crochet!
